Bar concept, Picnic Fonic, Romaero, 2025

A bar designed for a night of electronic music in an aircraft hangar. And for everything that happens before and after it.
The party was set up in three days and taken down in a few hours. So we started from the constraints, not the decor: use materials the organisers already had, keep it cheap, easy to assemble and take apart, with no special tools and no headaches.
The structure is scaffolding-like, made of metal tubes, simple and modular, sitting naturally in the industrial language of Romaero. The front of the bar is clad in corrugated sheet metal, and vertical lines of light give rhythm to the whole construction, like an equaliser pulsing with the music. Above, large black balloons float over the bar and catch the lights around. Light, cheap and ready in minutes, they bring a little play into an otherwise very raw space.
A bar that doesn't try to hide that it's temporary. On the contrary, that's where its charm comes from: honest, fresh and ready to disappear in the morning, with the last set.
