La Gloire, Londra

Perhaps one of the most challenging projects so far. An apartment in a renowned, award-winning building, well known and very highly regarded.
When you work inside recognised architecture, the intervention needs a sense of measure. It has to know how to sit beside what exists, respect it and live up to the place without trying to outdo it.
The clients have a very refined eye and a strong affinity for Nordic architecture and Scandinavian design. It was a beautiful challenge to work at the level of their expectations and standards.
The architecture was already there and spoke for itself: the exposed concrete ceiling, the warm timber floor, the curved walls that soften the passage between spaces. Our role was to furnish it with the same calm and the same precision. Curtains that filter the light, carefully chosen furniture, every object placed there to talk with what exists, not to cover it. Details meant to last, not to impress for a moment.
An apartment worthy of its address. Quiet, measure and things well made.
